The Fairbanks Family’s Multi-Generational Family Photo Session

When Dawn reached out to me about capturing her multi-generational family, I knew it was going to be special.

She and her husband, along with their kids, spouses, and grandchildren—a total of 22 family members—came together for a family photo session at the historic Riviera in downtown Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

Coming from a big family myself, I knew exactly what to expect: fun, a little chaos, and a whole lot of love.

The Perfect Location for a Family Photo Session

The Riviera in Lake Geneva is a stunning backdrop for photos. With its classic architecture, lush green grass, and the serene lake view, it’s a photographer’s dream.

Add in the Fairbanks family, who looked absolutely incredible in their coordinated shades of blue, and the scene was picture-perfect. Their thoughtful outfit choices stood out beautifully against the natural surroundings, making every photo a timeless keepsake.

Capturing the Fun and Love of a Big Family

Working with the Fairbanks family reminded me so much of my own.

As one of five kids with 13 grandkids between us, I know what it’s like to have a big, lively family. There’s always something happening—laughter, stories, and a little bit of organized chaos.

This session was no different. The kids were full of energy, the adults were relaxed and joyful, and everyone was genuinely enjoying their time together.

Throughout the session, there were so many heartfelt moments. Grandparents snuggling with grandkids, siblings cracking jokes, and the pure joy of simply being together. These are the kinds of memories that deserve to be preserved.

The Importance of Multi-Generational Family Photos

One of the things I’m most passionate about is capturing multi-generational family photos. If I could go back in time, one of my biggest regrets would be not having more photos with my grandparents. These photos are more than just pictures—they’re legacies, memories, and stories to pass down for generations.

If you’re considering a family photo session, don’t wait. Especially if you have grandparents and grandchildren to include, these moments are priceless.

Ready to Capture Your Family’s Story?

I’m so grateful to the Fairbanks family for trusting me to capture their love, laughter, and legacy. It was an absolute honor to work with them, and I’ll never forget the joy of this session.
