A Friend Always Ready for a Photoshoot
Does anyone else have “that friend”? You know, the one who’s always put together, always ready for a mini photo session… even on a random trip to the grocery store?
For me, I have a few, but one is definitely my friend, Alekx. She’s the kind of person who’s always ready for a photoshoot – makeup done, outfit on point, and accessories perfectly styled.
Honestly, it’s incredibly impressive.
But let me tell you about a fun and unexpected photoshoot I had with her family that’s definitely worth sharing.
A Surprise Mini Photo Session
One Sunday morning, I texted Alekx and her husband Tom, inviting them to a Santa brunch at Oliverii North in Antioch, Illinois, with their daughter. We didn’t give them much time, as we were meeting in just a few hours.
But when I showed up, Alekx was absolutely flawless, even wearing a hat because she didn’t want to curl her hair again.
The makeup? On point.
The accessories? Perfectly styled.
The whole vibe? Ready for a photoshoot.
We had a wonderful time with the kids and Santa, but when Alekx casually mentioned that they had never had professional family photos done, I had to take action. I grabbed my camera, told them to head outside, and we did a quick and simple 10-minute session right there on the sidewalk in downtown Antioch.
Quick Sessions Can Be Just as Beautiful
In that short 10-minute window, I captured some beautiful moments for their family. Not surprisingly, their outfits – full of greens and tans – complimented each other perfectly.
I was so grateful to be able to bless them with this simple yet beautiful mini photo session.
When I delivered the gallery, Alekx couldn’t believe how much we accomplished in just 10 minutes.
You don’t need hours to create stunning family photos – sometimes, 10 minutes is all it takes. And I’m so happy I could provide that for them.
