A Magical Sunrise at Lake Michigan
When Diana reached out to me last fall to capture her son Isaiah’s senior photo session, I was beyond excited. As a mom, I know how important these moments are, and Isaiah, with his love for music and sports, deserved a session that truly reflected who he is. We decided on a sunrise senior session right at Lake Michigan, and let me tell you, it was perfect.
We started early, with the sun just beginning to rise. The clouds added a dramatic touch, and the sunbeams shining through onto the lake created a stunning golden glow.
Isaiah brought his guitar, a special one that belonged to his grandfather. Watching him sit on the rocks by the huge lake, playing his grandfather’s guitar as the sun rose, was like something out of a movie. It was magical, and the photos turned out beautifully.
An Urban Vibe at the Kemper Center
Next, we headed to the Kemper Center for a change of scenery. The urban vibe there was perfect for capturing another side of Isaiah.
He showed off his love for sports, and of course, we took more photos with his guitar. One of my favorite shots was of Isaiah blurred out in the background, standing behind his athletic shoes. Those shoes had seen countless football, basketball, and track practices and games. Saying goodbye to those sports was emotional, and this photo captured that bittersweet moment perfectly.
Capturing All Sides of Isaiah
The mix of the natural beauty of the lake and the urban backdrop of the Kemper Center gave us a perfect blend of settings to showcase all sides of Isaiah. These photos weren’t just pictures; they were a story. They told the story of Isaiah’s passions, his personality, and his connections.
It was special to memorialize these moments for Isaiah and his family. I am so grateful to have been part of this session and to help capture these memories for the Hernandez family.
